Low noise and frost-resistant
The Matrice 4D can prevent loss of motor performance and efficiency due to icing and ensure stable flight, even in freezing rain, thanks to standard equipment with low-noise anti-ice propellers. The design of the propellers aims to reduce noise during operation.

Wind stability
The Matrice 4D and 4TD demonstrate remarkable flight performance. At wind speeds of up to 12 m/s, they can take off and land stably and stay in the air for up to 32 minutes.

Robust and reliable
DJI Dock 3 is dust and water resistant to IP56, and both Matrice 4D and 4TD are IP55 certified. Dock 3's design protects its internal systems from external elements by encapsulating electronic components, ensuring exceptional water and dust resistance and enabling smooth operation in harsh conditions.

Longer flight time, robust protection
With a full battery charge, the Matrice 4D delivers an impressive flight time of 47 minutes at a speed of 15 m/s, offering a remarkable 37% increase in operating time. At a radius of 10 km, these drones allow an operating time of 18 minutes. Both models are designed for use in harsh conditions and have an impressive IP55 certification.

Obstacle detection for safe operation
The obstacle detection module in the Matrice 4D combines LiDAR and millimeter wave radar technology for precise obstacle avoidance with an accuracy of 12 mm at speeds of up to 15 m/s. It enables safe crossing of complex power lines and improves positioning in low light conditions. This ensures operational safety in varied power grid environments and complex substation arrangements. If the drone or obstacle detection module is damaged due to an obstacle avoidance failure after installation of said module, you will receive official, free compensation.

Excellent in low light conditions
Matrice 4D series drones feature four high-resolution fisheye lenses for low light conditions, which significantly improve visual positioning and obstacle detection even in sub-optimal conditions. The new night mode enables night vision in full color.

Clear view and sharp images
The Matrice 4D series drones are equipped with medium telephoto and telephoto cameras with foreground stabilization. The medium telephoto camera is ideal for medium-distance inspections: it detects pins and cracks from 10 meters away and clearly reads data from measuring devices in substations. The 48 MP telephoto camera captures details, such as signs, from a distance of up to 250 m. When using the telephoto camera during a hover flight in a windless environment, the gimbal can be tilted upwards by 80 degrees, allowing damage to the underside of bridges to be detected. The improved stabilization ensures that foreground subjects remain clear even when shooting telephoto at 10x zoom or higher.

High-precision surveying
The Matrice 4D series drones are characterized by high-precision mapping and offer a new oblique shooting function in five directions as well as orthophotography in three directions. In addition, they have a real-time terrain tracking function to meet various mapping requirements. DJI FlightHub 2 has been improved for use with Matrice 4D. This upgrade introduces a number of options for flight route planning, including routes for intelligent 3D capture, geometric routes and routes for slopes. This allows FlightHub 2 to increase operational efficiency while ensuring detailed modeling.

Seamless, airborne relay for mountainous terrain
The Matrice 4D series can be operated with the DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise remote controller for standalone use and features an innovative onboard relay function. In this way, a drone can climb up into the air as a relay so that another drone can be operated at a greater distance. The relay drone automatically aligns itself with the operating drone to ensure smooth video transmission without 4G signal and despite obstacles. This feature significantly extends the transmission range and makes it ideal for search and rescue (SAR) missions and inspections in mountainous areas.

Intelligent flight and control

Automated routes
The new automated flight route is useful in various application scenarios, including public safety and inspections. Once a flight route is set, the drone can automatically detect and track people, vehicles, vessels and temperature anomalies and capture images or videos and send notifications to operators.

Intelligent detection of changes
The new smart change detection function enables efficient periodic analysis in an area and supports operators in environmental protection, disaster relief and crack detection, helping them to make effective and informed decisions.

Virtual Cockpit
The interface between Virtual Cockpit and remote control has been significantly improved with the introduction of the new Mouselook function.
