Description
With Extron fire extinguishing granules, you are ideally equipped for all lithium fires! Should a battery ignite, you can extinguish it quickly, safely and, above all, cleanly by sprinkling the granulate on the fire. The expanded glass granules enclose the fire by melting at high temperatures, spreading over the surface, forming an airtight seal and smothering the fire. When it cools down, it becomes encrusted and prevents the fire from flaring up again.
If you place the granulate cushions over the batteries when charging, you have effective fire protection. You can also ship rechargeable batteries worry-free by wrapping them in the granules.
This fire extinguishing granulate is suitable for class D fire loads and lithium-ion batteries. The extinguishing effect of the granulate was tested and confirmed by the MPA Dresden using a sodium and magnesium fire.
