Description
Aurora can be mounted on a drone with minimal effort. It only requires a small antenna for the FLARM radio, the antennas for Wi-Fi and GPS are fully integrated. The system is powered via USB-C and is therefore ready for use in less than 5 minutes, whereby the power supply can also be ensured via the JST-GH connector with a voltage range of 5 V to 28 V.
Aurora comes with a mounting clip for quick deployment. It also includes a web app that allows easy checking of the system status and configuration or updating of the software and is compatible with mobile phones or computers.
The Direct Remote ID uses the 2.4 GHz (Wi-Fi) band and is compliant with the international standards / norms ASTM F3411-19 and ASD-STAN prEN 4709-002, which are specified in many national regulations.
Aurora is particularly well suited for UAV operations where encounters between manned aircraft and UAVs are expected. The UAV becomes visible to other FLARM-equipped aircraft such as police or rescue helicopters and thus prevents interactions / collisions.
