For a drone flight that requires a permit in the "open" category because the regulations on geo-zones in accordance with Section 21 h of the German Air Traffic Regulations (LuftVO) cannot be complied with, you can apply for an individual or general permit (valid for 2 years). Make sure that the Rhineland-Palatinate aviation authority is selected.

If an operating licence for the "special" category is required for the planned flight, in accordance with § 21b LuftVO, an application for an operating licence (SORA) must be submitted. This application form must be used for this purpose and the correct aviation authority must be selected. The application also includes the following attachment.
